Another aspect very important as well is that one has to see a doctor in case of suspect symptoms: pus, bleeding or swollen lips for too long period of time.

Another piece of advice is to avoid taking it off more than 2 hours per day and especially after the first moths, due to the fact that the hole can be at the risk of being covered. And the procedure to remake your hole it is not quite as easy and painless as for the first time you did it.
