A bigger house, a more spacious home, some great decoration of the house, these are thoughts that go through everyone’s mind and to which we refer whenever we want to make a chance. But not all houses are very large and not all those who have homes that are not that roomy can find the place to fit in everything they want. However, the general impression that everything that has generous sizes automatically assures a greater comfort is not true.





Anyway, after all it does not matter how big is your house, but how can you accessorize and decorate it to make all the rooms as comfortable as possible. And not all the rooms from a house have the same importance. If you can easily make your personality seen with the decoration that you have in your home, you should be very happy because not all people can. But when you make a room’s redecoration you must think about colors, because colors are a very important part of our lives, which can influence us and can determine a certain state of mind. And when it comes to the colors used for bedrooms and bathrooms, they are even more important because these are the two places from the house where you just want to relax.

The psychology of color is a rich and complex subject, one area of constant study and research. Although influenced by cultural and regional preferences or trends, there are certain rules that can be applied to predict the psychological effects that a certain color produces inside a room.

A very important aspect refers to the color position in space. Same color will be perceived differently if applied on the floor, the ceiling or wall. For example, a red carpet will transmit heat, power or even a royal atmosphere. Same color on the walls will seem hard, exhausting, disturbing or annoying. So to be able to use the best colors for you bedroom or bathroom you must first know which psychological effects every single one of then produces. For example, red stimulates, excites, stirs.


It is usually associated with passion, energy and vitality. Pink suggests calm, gentleness, sensuality, orange stimulates, and yellow suggests joy and welcoming, while green stands for relaxation and calm. Blue is always calm, peaceful, but when it is too dark it can seem cold and unfriendly. White suggests purity, gray seriousness and calm, back is elegance and brown stability.

When it comes to decorating a house, you must always keep in mind the influence of colors and make decisions regarding also this aspect not only your own preferences. So, yellow seems to be a good choice for a dining room because is a welcoming color, while green or blue are recommended for bathrooms and bedrooms because they are relaxing. Many people have they bath painted in white because it suggests clean and purity.
