Celtic Cross Fleur De Lis Tattoo
If you could go back into time like let’s say 3 years ago and asked me about getting a tattoo I would have probably ended all sorts of communication with you for about 2 days. Back then, I used to consider tattoos grose, uncalled for, unnecessary and just vulgar.I don’t know from where I got this opinion but it was a strong one. Back then… many things have changed since back then.Ask me today if I would get a tattoo, on what part of my body would I get it and what would it be. To be clear, it would be just one! The answers are: I would definitely get a tatoo, on the back of my neck because I think it’s a cool spot and it would be a celtic cross fleur de lis tattoo. And it would have to be a in a dark green tone. I know, it sounds pretty awkward and dark but actually it’s not. It just so happens that I love symbolism and I adore what these two symbols mean and how great they can be brought together.
First of all, the fleur de lis is an ancient sign for nobility ( but I like to think of it as being noble on the inside and having noble feelings) but it also shows the fragility of human beings and life in general.Because we can shatter lives easy sometimes. Now coming closer to it’s origin, the fleur de lis is simply a flower and it expresses nothing but beauty and innocence. This last thing is the one attribute I always wish to never loose completely.

As for the other symbol, the celtic cross, well this links me to the spiritual side of things, which should always have a rational part into it because I cannot see spirituality without reason. The thing which these 2 symbols have in common is the fact that they are both ancient and have provided a meaning for people over a great deal of time. I like to imagine these 2 symbols put together and blend because they show me contrasts that combined create harmony. The rigid celtic cross with the more flexible fleur de lis. Yes, this is why I would undoubtedly choose the celtic cross fleur de list at to be my symbol and to always be able to carry it with me, a little bit hidden on the back of my neck, but ready to be revealed when I will choose to.

The great deal of choices that we have when it comes to decorating our bodies is wonderful but we should always remain cautious about what we choose. Because we will be always sending a message into the world this way and it would be great if it would be a positive one. Good actions reflect upon the world. What tattoo would you choose?
