For example there is a difference between a man wearing an earring and a men that knows how to wear one.  Earrings should be chosen considering your face shape and your body. More chubby women should choose larger and bigger earrings, and the other way around. Earrings have a purpose so, if you want to wear them, then wear them with attitude.
