Fingernail growth while dead
Fingernails have been considered a very important part of our body ever since the beginnings. There is nothing better than “mens sana in corpora sano” – a healthy mind in a healthy body. This saying is derived from the roman poet Juvenal, dating back ago in the 10.356 year and it comes as an response of the poet, to what people should desire in their lives.
Having a healthy body implies everything related to that body and what one it is made of. Fingernails, therefore, are a part of one’s body and they should be given proper care. As for the fingernails, since the early ages of Hippocrates they were considered to be the mirror of one’s health, as they have a direct relation with the entire body.
Even though one may believe that leaving the fingernails be at their peace and not doing anything to them means that they will definitely grow healthy, this is not necessarily true. As if you do not take proper care of the fingernails, if you do not provide them with proper nutrition and give them the needing things, one will easily discover some disorders in the fingernails.
Fingernails growths depend on lot of factors. There is the age, the gender, the nutrition, the living environment, the way of life, the medical causes that may affect one’s fingernails. Fingernails constant growth is at a peace of 3 mm per month, which signifies that a fingernail, if it falls apart, it will be able to grow back in a time, between three to six months. However, this depends on the factors listed above. While being younger will help one raise faster the fingernails, living in a hotter environment will as well lead to the fast increase of the fingernails, having a proper and healthy nutrition will help you as well. The nutrition must contain vitamins, proteins, fatty acids, a lot of still water so that one will be able to get the proper hydration.

Maintaining a healthy fingernail look is realized by having a proper manicure done, once a week or twice a month. It is sufficient to keep you fingernail clean and well trimmed in order that they look good. A full manicure done takes a lot of time, at around two hours. If one believes he has not enough time or patience to realize this thing, one should go to a special manicure salon.
The growth of the fingernails is given by the fingernail matrix. While the fingernail matrix is the one from which the growth starts, it is strictly related to the blood vessels, which make the connection between the entire body and the fingernails. Even though what fingernails are made from is a hard protein called keratin, which is transformed in dead cells, due to the connection of the fingernails to the fingernails matrix, they no longer become dead organisms of our body. They have a living piece in them due to the blood vessels connection. While the blood vessels maintain them alive and help them take the proper food, in order to help their growth, when one is dead, one’s fingernail growth death no longer grow.
The reason is both simple as logic. One can grow neither fingernail growth death, nor hair, after dying. As the living cells maintain them living and keep them to grow, once you are dead you no longer “benefit” of growing anything. Even though they may appear longer on a dying person, this appearance is provided just by the fact that as the body deshydratates, they appear longer, but they actually have the same length that they had when that person actually died.
