French Manicure Designs

French manicure is one of the most popular nail design styles of the moment and it has been this way for the last 80 years. Although some people think that there is nothing more to it, the truth is that besides being very elegant, it is also very versatile and it only needs a bit of creativity to achieve interesting designs.
The easiest and the most traditional design features the tips being painted white and the rest of the nail pink, beige or nude. This can be spiced up a little by drawing a line at the border between the white and pink with another color. One of the best choices is the sparkling silver one. You could also use gold or any other sparkling color that you can think of. This adds a creative touch to the manicure.
Another good idea might be to change the aspect of the tip by not using a horizontal smile line, but creating another shape. This might be a V shape or diagonal line. There are also available some stripes that have different kinds of edges to add some more interesting features to the manicure. Besides the more nonconventional edge, you could use the line that I have mentioned before in this case as well. This would draw the attention to the interesting borderline that you have.
Instead of the line with a different color you could also put some dots above the line. To make things a bit simpler for you there are many different types of stickers that you just have to stick on and they have some very elaborate shapes that you cannot achieve by drawing by hand. There are also some other ‘accessories’ that you can use, like rhinestones. If they are used with good taste they might look very good but you should be careful not to use too much because they might make you manicure look cheap.
Besides all these there are also some other nail arts available. There are the two dimensional ones, that I have already mentioned with the name of stickers and there are some three dimensional ones that are gaining more and more popularity these days. The most popular shapes are the flower ones but there are the heart shaped ones as well that women seem to like very much.
Other French manicure designs include the usage of other colors than the traditional ones. It is very wide spread to use other colors for the style. You might use any color that you would like, the only rule to follow is to use at least two different color and these should be of the same type. It looks a lot better if you use two metallic colors than if you mix the types.
