To get the manicure off the manicurist can file the polish off or soak your fingers in a special solution that will make the gel come off. The downside of gel polish manicures is that usually after two weeks it might happen that they start to peel. I think that by this time you will get bored of the anyway so you will get another manicure. Still, if you can control yourself enough not to pick it, this won’t be a problem. The last minor downside is that not every salon has this kind of offer, but if you find one that has it is worth to try it out. It is possible that it won’t work for you, but for most women it worked out just fine.
Gel polish manicure works just like traditional manicure. After the cuticles have been pushed back and the nails are filed the manicurist buffes the nails so that the gel will adhere better. Once this is done she applies a coat of gel on each nail and them cures the gel for about 30 seconds under the UV lamp. The she applies another layer and cures the gel again.
