Gold Manicures

You might not know this, but gold is one of the hottest and most fashionable colors of this year. I am sure that you have already seen gold shoes, purses, jackets and so on and I would be very surprised if you would say that haven’t seen gold manicure before.
There are many ways you can get gold manicure and I am going to tell you about a few of them. I think the most simple is to buy a gold nail polish. According to my experience there are two types of gold polishes: the one that has a metallic color and the one that has many little glitters in it so that when it is applied it form a uniform layer of gold polish. The manicure itself is very simple; you just have to apply a base coat, a layer of gold polish and then a top coat.

If you wish to have something more elaborate you could make a French manicure with gold as a base color, or for the color of the tips. One combination that I really like is when the base color is gold and the tips are red. I find this style wild and in the same time elegant as well. You could use other colors to combine with gold as well, such as green, violet or blue. The only thing you should be careful about is that the two polishes that you use to be of the same type. I mean that if the gold is metallic then the other one should be metallic as well, otherwise the manicure might look quite weird.

I think you have heard about the Minx manicure. This is a very new trend in manicure styles and the whole point of it is that it doesn’t use nail polish. Instead a filmy thing is applied to the nails that adheres to the nail and the excess is ripped off. Those who have already tried it say that it looks very well and it lasts as long as a normal manicure does. The advantage of these manicures is that this way you can have a gold color that you can’t achieve any other way.
In case you don’t like your whole fingernails to be painted in one color you could use gold to create just some nail art. For example you could get a French manicure and you could draw a glittery golden line where the pink meets the white. This is one of the simpler solutions, but if you think that you have enough talent, you could draw some real nail art on the nails like flowers or hearts, but you could create some abstract nail art as well.

You might say that the simplest thing to do is to go to a nail salon and ask the manicurist to give you a gold manicure. This might be a good solution if you have the mood and money for it, but if you don’t, you could use the tips that I have given you.
