Grooves In Fingernails

The most often met fingernail disorder is bound to the fingernails plate. As the fingernail plate is the exposed part of the nail, it is the one that will suffer the most disorders. One may suffer from disorders like thick yellow nails, blue nails, fungal infections, white horizontal lines, curled nails, horizontal grooves, spoon nails.

Grooves in fingernails are a common met disorder. It is characterized by line along the fingernails. These lines can either ne vertical or horizontal. While the vertical grooves in fingernails are not as bad as the horizontal one, they should as well be well taken care for. The reasons that they appear are various but the most common reason is the aging process, which one has no power on.



Another reason is that the fingernail plate is exposed to many chemicals that lead to fingernail dryness and eventually they will form some lines on the fingernails and these lines will soon get deeper and deeper, if not appropriately treated. The chemicals that your fingernails get into contact with are those from the washing dishes, from cleaning around the house but as well, those from too much usage of fingernail polish and fingernail polish remover that contains acetone. In using chemicals one should protect the fingernails with a pair of rubber gloves and as well start using fingernail polish remover that does not contain acetone. A proper diet, which will provide your fingernails with the necessary oils, will as well be good for the fingernail plate. In order to get rid of the fingernail grooves one must make the treatment for more than two or three months.
