Guides+french Manicure

When you hear about guides + French manicure there is only one thing you could be thinking about: giving yourself a French manicure. You might know that at the moment the most popular manicure style is the French manicure because it looks very clean and in the same time elegant without having too many elements or being difficult to create. Manicurists say that it is the most asked for manicure style and you should know that although you can get it done in a salon, you might also do it yourself. There are a lot of women who find doing their manicure relaxing and the truth is that I am one of those women.

To get started you should gather everything you might need in your manicure session: polishes, emery board, scissor or clipper, cotton pads and polish remover. If there is something missing then you’d better go to a beauty supply center and buy it. There are some French manicure kits that you could buy.

These have everything you need for your manicure: base coat, white polish, pink polish and top coat. Most of them have guides as well to help you create the perfect smile lines. You can also choose the base color; instead of pink you could go for a beige or nude. When you got everything you might need you should start by removing any nail polish from your nails by moisturizing the cotton pad with polish remover and rubbing the nails. After you are done with this you could soak your fingers for about 3 minutes and then trim, file and shape the nails. If you like you could also push the cuticles so that the nails will look longer.

Be sure that the nail are completely dry before you apply the base coat, otherwise the coat will not adhere to the nails. Once it has dried, stick the nail guides. Be sure that you stick them well so that no nail polish will be able to get under them. Now it is time to polish the tips using the white polish. Wait a few minutes before you remove the guides for the polish to dry. If you remove the guide too quickly, the polish might get smudged and if you wait too long then the polish might get peeled off. Once the tips are dried you can apply the base color. There is nothing special about this procedure, you simply apply the polish and then let it dry. After it has dried you apply the top coat to prevent any damaging of your nails. When this last layer has dried as well, you are good to go. Naturally you don’t have to use guides in case you feel like you can draw the smile lines by hand. You should know that you need steady hands for this procedure. I don’t think that creating a French manicure is hard and in time you will gain enough experience. Now you know all about guides + French manicure.
