How Too French Manicure

Most women think that they can get a perfect French manicure only at a professional nail salon, but the truth is that it isn’t as hard to do as it seems. In fact, there is nothing very special about it, but just like everything else, it’s got some methods that aren’t used in case of other manicures.

In this article I am going to tell you how to French manicure. It is quite easy and you can do it at home as well without any help from the part of others. The first thing you have to do (just as in the case of any other manicure) is to exfoliate the hands using hand or body scrub. After you are finished exfoliating you should rinse and dry the hands. If you don’t dry the hands properly they might get chapped. Then you should trim or clip the nails and file the rough edges. When filing don’t forget to move the file in only one direction, because the sawing movement might damage the nail plate. Then you should push back the cuticles. Use the tool designed for this purpose and it is important not to cut the cuticles because the risk of infection is very high.

Before applying nail polish you should apply a layer of base coat. The purpose of these products is to strengthen the nails, prevent any damages caused by the nail polish and they will enable the polish to adhere better. Some products might also level the ridges your nails might have, so that when you apply the nail polish it will have a smooth surface. Luckily in our days there is a wide range of base coats to choose from. Once the base coat has dried it is time to paint the tips. Most manicure kits have tapes that guide you when painting the tips. You have to stick these on the nail and then using white polish you should paint the tips. Before removing the tapes it is better to wait a couple of minutes because otherwise the tips might get smudged when you remove the tapes. If you wait too long then the tapes might rip off the polish. When the tips have dried it is time to apply a layer of pink, nude or beige polish. This time there is nothing special you have to do, simply paint the nails. After the last layer has dried you could also apply a top coat to protect the manicure and to give it more shine. Once the last layer has dried you are ready to go.

I don’t think that it is hard to get it done and now that you know how to French manicure I think you agree with me. All it takes is a little time and patience and if you use tapes you don’t even need any special talent. Naturally if you think that your hands are steady enough, you might try to draw the smile lines by hand and it is said that this way you save time.
