Information about French manicures

I think we all know a little something about French manicures by now but still I think there are some people that would like to find out more about it. It is a well known fact that this style is one of the most popular ones in our days and according to manicurists this is the most asked for style in manicure salons.

Its popularity is due to the fact that it has a simple look and in the same time it looks very elegant. It is suitable for every event and occasion and there are several types of French manicures to try.

The first one that I am referring to is the traditional one that involves white tips and pink base. Besides pink you could also use nude or beige and there are also many types of white that you can use. You could also polish only the tips and leave the rest of the nail bare. Still it might be a good idea to apply a layer of clear polish once you are done with the white or a layer of top coat to protect the nails and the manicure.

You could also create some nail art on the nails. You could draw by hand or you could get it done by an air brush. There are also some three dimensional nail arts available besides the two dimensional ones. It might be a simple solution to get some stickers and stick them on the nails. Nail jewelry is also gaining more and more popularity so you could try those as well.

Another type of French manicure is the one that looks just like the traditional one just that it uses other colors. It is totally up to you to decide the color and the method of creating the style is somewhat the same. The only thing that changes is that most of the time you have to start with the base color and once that layer has dried you should polish the tips with another color. You could use the craziest colors you can think of, including the neon colors too.

The third type of French manicure that I am going to present is the reverse French manicure. In this case the moon (also known as the lunula) is the part that is white or that is left bare and the rest of the nail is polished with another color. Very popular combinations of color are the black and white and the red and white ones, but you could also use any other that you would like to try.

I hope that you managed to gather some new information from my article and that you will find them useful. In case you have any observations or you have anything to add, feel free to let me know by leaving a comment at the bottom of the page.
