You should use a lip brush to get a more precise application. You should start with the upper lip and work from the center to the corners. Repeat the process at the bottom lip. Don’t smack the lip together and in case there are any mistakes correct them with a Q-tip.

You should remember that the rest of the makeup should be a light one so it will not compete with the lips.
