Information about manicure and pedicureabout
In our modern world there are only a few people left who haven’t heard about manicure and pedicure and so I don’t think I am able to tell you many new things about them, still I would like to tell you some information because there still are some people who don’t know what this is all about.
Both manicure and pedicure refer to beauty treatments that are meant to enhance the look of the nails and the hands and feet. There are many methods to do your manicure and pedicure and you could also get them done at home alone or at a salon.

In this article I am not going to tell you how to do these things, but I am going to focus on some of the aspects of the manicure and pedicure. The first thing I would like you to know about is the right shape for the nails. Actually there is no shape that is suitable and that is not. It is up to you to choose and there are many options: oval, round, square, pointy, and squoval. Although there is no wrong way to do it, you should know that it isn’t the best choice to get point nails because it is a lot easier for them to break. In case you wish to have strong nails, square shaped nails are for you. Some professionals say that the shape of the nail should follow the shape of the cuticles. This might be a good idea as well. In this case you would get a very natural looking manicure.
Another thing that I would like to mention refers to the cuticle treat. There are a lot of people who cut, clip or nip the cuticles. Some professionals say that this shouldn’t be done because it is very easy to harm the cuticles and this may influence the growth of the nails. Others say that it is OK to do so for aesthetic reasons. I would say that the cuticles should be nipped only if necessary, meaning in case they are dry or they are really bad looking. In any other case it is a better idea to gently push the cuticles using an orange stick or a cuticle pusher.

The last thing that I would like to mention is soaking. Some people are still wondering about it and I would like you to know that soaking isn’t compulsory, but it might be very useful. The warm water makes the nails and cuticles softer and so it is a lot easier to work with them. If you soak the nails you should make sure that they are totally dry before you start polishing, or the polish will peel off very fast.
I hope that you will keep these things in mind and that you will be able to use the things that I have written about. I would like to find out about your opinion regarding the matter and so please feel free to leave a comment.

Well, it depends! I have rounded cuticles but the best shape for my nails is square. I have tried different shapes and sizes but my hands look good and elegant with square shaped nails. And I am also a big fan of soaking because it makes it easier to work with your nails and cuticles once they are soft and moist. And then you can apply a hand cream like I do and it makes your hands look beautiful. If you are not at all handy at cutting your cuticles, it could be a good idea to see a manicurist just to make sure you don’t cut yourself and get some sort of infection.
