Remove the tapes after a little while and leave the tips dry. Once the tips have dried you should apply a layer of the opaque polish and let that dry as well. The last layer you should apply is the top coat to protect the manicure. Once the last layer has dried you are good to go.

I really had no idea that there was such a thing as an American manicure. In fact, I really can’t tell the difference between French manicure and this type of manicure you call American. I read the article and by what you are describing, the process is similar, if not identical to that of applying a French manicure. So, tell me, what are the differences?
