Lines In Fingernails

Fingernails are not women’ but as well men’. Women are not the only one that must take good care of their fingernails, but men as well have this job. The material the fingernails is made of is known under the name of keratin and this is what both the women and the men fingernails are made of. The Keratin is what we actually see, the actual nail we touch. A fingernail is much more complex than the fingernail in itself. The part of the fingernails that we actually see is called the fingernail plate.

it is the one that grows, but whether one thought it just grows by itself, one was wrong as it has some internal connections that help it grow. What contributes to fingernail growth is the nail matrix. It is the one that makes the connection of the fingernail to the blood vessels, from where the fingernail plate takes all its “food”.

The nail matrix is the inner part of the fingernail but it as well have an outer part – lunulae and the cuticles. The blood vessels while nourishing the fingernail plate, they provide it with a pinkish look as well. another part of the fingernail is called the nail bed. it is that part on which the fingernail palte actually sits. If the connection between the fingernail plate and the fingernail bed is lost, bacterias will eneter, the nail bed will get infected, and the nail plate will eventually fall off.

If one has pinkish, smoothed surface, straight fingernails, it most certainly means that one has healthy fingernails. There are times, in one’s life, that one will be put in the situation of having to tackle with a disease and that will affect the fingernails as well. in the vast majority of the disease, fingernails will get themselves with lines in fingernails. These can be of different forms.

Lines in fingernails can be vertical or horizontal. while the vertical lines mean that they go from the bottom of the nail to the top, the horizontal lines go across the nail, from one part to another. The difference between the vertical and the horizontal fingernails does not only stay in the position, it stays as well in the factors that have caused them and in their meaning.

The vertical fingernails are a most met thing as most of the people have this lines in fingernails due to the aging process. Some have them as an effect of too much usage of chemical in the fingernails, such as those used for washing dishes, the nail polish, the nail polish remover. In order to put a stop to them one must cease causing too much nail polisgh and protect the fingernails while using chemicals. If this is neither the case, it may be that of dryness of the nail plate, of the cuticle. In these cases on should start using some oil to hydrate the fingernails.

As far as the vertical lines concern, the things are simpler, but as for the horizontal ones concern, the causes that led to their appearance are more serious.  Horizontal lines in fingernails are caused by some kidney or liver disease, heart failure, circulatory or respiratory problems, melanonychia, psoriasis and other illness one may suffer from. There are various names of these lines such as Muerche line, Mee’s lines, Beu’s lines, the lunulae. To be able to treat them it is important to go and ask for a doctor’s advice.

One should under no circumstance leave aside any of the disorder one may observe on the fingernails, whichever that may be. Getting more serious, it will arrive to be unable to be treated.
