Tattoos are a trend, the newest method used in beauty domain. Apart from their appearance they help one improve the look. And it seems to be working as they are so spread nowadays and so looked for. When it comes about one’s lips the tattoos are an efficient method to keep a professional make up. Lip tattoos are in fact permanent or semi permanent make up, aimed to highlight one’s features.

As much as one would like to find out that it is just a simple procedure things are not quite so. Lip tattoos risks represent a long list of potential problems one may face with, depending on each one’s case. Besides this, it is also about one’s concern and care about its lips in the recovery period.

First of all, the main risk of a lip tattoo is the possible lip infections and inflammation. When it is tattooed the skin lip is perforated and so, more predisposed to such problems. And if you add a less concern regarding the hygiene things are twice complicated. This can be prevented and lastly cured, with a treatment based on antibiotics. Apart from this, one has to wash the area daily with iodine, to eliminate any possible viruses and bugs appearance.

Secondly, lip tattoo risks are also about the final result. In other words, it is extremely important to choose carefully and with someone’s help-preferential with a cosmetician, a specialist in the domain- the color of the tattoo. Many make this mistake: they choose a darker color, considering that a softer one will not be noticeable. The proper decision is to choose something not too shrill, not too unnoticed but a soft and natural one. This way it will match perfectly with any occasion, any type of make up.

Apart from this, another risk is to have a dispersed color. Depending one the professionalism of the person who will tattoo you the contour may suffer some modifications, as the pigments may disperse.

Going further, lip tattoo risks are also about the patient. It is not something that one can change but something permanent that will last. Indeed, after 5 years maximum it will start to fade off and then you may redo the procedure and change the color of the tattoo. Also, be patient as after the tattoo your lips will have a darker color, but in a few days of recovery it will start to look as you wanted.

All things considered, are you willing to pass through all these? Are you willing to assume these risks for a lip tattoo? I believe that it requires a carefully decision, a very good appreciation regarding this aspect and finally determination. Risks and questions marks, it seems to be a real challenge after all.

Well, the medical knowledge and equipment is something which is in constant evolution so I’m pretty sure that every new method used and every new medical discovery is going to reduce the chances of someone getting a lip infection. This is why we should not be cheapskates when it comes to medicine and gather money to go to the best doctors in the field because they are the ones with “good hands” and the best knowledge. I doubt it there are too many cases where the final result did not match the initial desire because these people surely know what there are doing and if they are not sure what you are looking for from the beginning, they will ask you.
