Male Manicure
Manicure is something very usual in our days and the interesting thing about it is that while some people think that it is only for women, more and more men are getting concerned about the looks of their hands and so they care more and more about their nails. There are many ways to get a male manicure and in this article I am going to present some of them so that you will know about them.
I think the easiest way to get your nails done is to go to a nail salon. Most of them already offer services for male costumers as well and usually these services have the name of gentlemen’s manicure. There are longer services available but you can find express manicures as well. Most of the services include clipping if necessary, filing to get rid of the scratchy edges and to shape the nails and naturally the manicurist doesn’t forget about the cuticles either so they get pushed back or in some cases nipped.
Cuticle nipping happens only if necessary and the manicurist has to be very gentle not to injure the cuticle because that might influence the nail growth. Then most probably you will get your nails buffed. Buffing offers a natural shine to the nails and so the nails will look healthy. In some cases you might also get a clear nail polish. Most men opt for clear polish when it comes to nail polish. There are some that prefer another color, or even a French manicure.

For some reason having polished nails in the case of men gives the impression that the person in question is homosexual. It is true that there are some groups of gay people that like to polish their nails, but in reality there is no connection between ail polish and sexual orientation. Still it isn’t really accepted by the community to see men with nail polish. There are some subcultures like the Goth that allows and even demands men to have nail polish but the color is usually black or dark brown.
Another way to get male manicure is to do it on your own at home. It isn’t difficult. You just have to buy the tools and you are ready to get the work done. You just have to do the same things as the manicurist: clip, file, treat the cuticles, and then buff. You can buy all the things that you need and you could also get them in a set so that you won’t have to buy them individually. This is up to the personal preferences and you might do it as you wish.

There are also different styles and methods that you might want to find out about and you should know in advance that they all say that the method in question is the best. I think you will have to try more to realize which one works best for you and which offers the best look for your nails and hands.
