When it comes to manicure, most people think about women, and they don’t realize that men need the same care as women do. This is why most salons and spas offer services to men as well and these services include nail services as well.

There are different types of manicures for men that offer different services. Some are more pampering than the others and the choice depends on the amount of time the person in question has. There are some services that provide you with a manicure in ten minutes, while others might last up to an hour and a half. Most services include trimming, filing, buffing, and naturally a finish with a polish of your choice. Naturally most of the time men choose not to have nail polish, because, let’s face it, it is associated with women and although they go to a salon they still wish to keep their manliness and instead of a color they choose a simple buff that gives the nails and healthy shine.



Still there are some that go a little further regarding manicure color guy man his him he and they choose to have clear polish on their nails. I think this is acceptable, although some find it weird to see men with shiny nails, but still the shiny nails might indicate a neat and clean person and no matter what others might say, I know that it is appealing to women. Probably you have seen famous men on TV or in magazines that had clear polish in their nails. They made the front pages because of this, but it think that it is almost natural.

If we take things even further and we talk about manicure color guy man his him he other than clear, then it is a whole another thing. The truth is that I am trying to be open-minded and accept people as they are, even if I don’t agree with some things, but seeing a man with his nails polished is a little bit much for me. I think it is inappropriate and I have to admit that I can’t really see him as a man. He stops being a man the moment I see something so feminine on him. Naturally there are some exceptions, like Goths or punks. In this case it is accepted for boys and men to have their nails polished, but in most of the cases the color is black or dark brown. For some reason I am totally OK with this type of manicure.

If you are a man and you are thinking about having your nails polished with a color then I suggest you give it another thought because people can be really mean and you might end up regretting the decision you have made. Once others see that you like nail polish there will be no turning back and they will ask you about it and make comments for a very long time. Still if you are sure, then just go ahead.
