When it comes to manicure supplies there are a lot of things that you must have in mind naturally if you do not plan on going to a manicure salon. You can do your nails at home as well and they might be just as good looking as if they have been done by a manicurist. All it takes is a little time and patience and naturally, a bit of exercise. Who could know what you want, better then yourself and this is why you are the best person to do your nails. You can shape them as you want and you can polish them to look in a way that sends a message about you. In case you get your nails done home you can be sure that there is no way you will get an infection. This might happen in case the tools aren’t sanitized well enough.

To get the job done right there are some tools that you are going to need. In case you would like a full manicure, then it is best to keep at hand a bowl in which you can put warm water to soak the fingers. Other things that you might need include nail clippers, cuticle knife and clippers (although some specialists say that it isn’t recommended to cut the cuticles because this raises the chances of getting an infection, especially if the cuticle is injured), cuticle pusher (orange stick), nail file (that can be a traditional one, an emery board or an electronic one), buffer (to make the nails look shiny), scissors, brush and maybe nail clippers if you prefer to clip them instead of using the scissor.

There are also some manicure supplies that you should get before you start because they will make your job easier and they will provide you with good results. To treat the cuticles you could also use cuticle remover but the down side of this product is that it contains a lot of chemicals that might be damaging for the skin. You could also get massage lotion, hand cream, sanitizing spray or towels to clean the tools that you use, cotton balls or pads, hand towels and it is necessary for a nice design to have nail polishes (don’t forget that besides the colors you also need base coat and top coat), nail polish remover (in the traditional way or nail polish remover wipes) and maybe some nail stickers and nail art.

You can find everything you need in beauty shops or even in supermarkets if you do not want to go to a specialized shop. Most of them do not cost much and they can also be bought in sets or kits so you won’t have to get them one by one. This method is meant to make your job easier and to get somewhat professional products in the same kit. You could also create your own set by selecting every product individually. The only down side is that this takes quite long.
