I know that there are a lot of things that you observe when you enter a manicure salon, and I bet that most of them are related to the decoration. There is one essential thing that most people don’t observe even if they are sitting right in front of it: the manicure table. These aren’t just simple tables; they have been specially conceived to serve the needs of the manicurist and of the customer. You might think that there is nothing special about a table with four legs and a top. I think you should give this a second thought.
There are many things that you should think of regarding a manicure table. Firstly it should be tall enough for the manicurist to sit comfortable in front of it. Secondly it must have enough leg room for the manicurist to sit comfortably in front of it. In case she is not comfortable while she works, she might end up having back pain or swollen legs. I think this is something that we would all like to avoid.
These were the things that we must have in mind from the point of view of the manicurist’s health. A manicure table should also offer some storage possibilities. This is why most tables have drawers and lockers. There are many tools and things that manicurists don’t use on a daily basis and it is best to keep these off the table top so that they don’t take valuable place. In the lockers and drawers the manicurists might also keep personal items that don’t have to be seen by the customers.
Most manicure tables also come with shelves on the table, that were designed to hold nail polishes. Usually there is place for 24 or 48 polishes. I think these shelves make the table look like it has been designed for a manicurist.
There are some special features for the tables that are optional and the truth is that they add to the price. The first one is the vent. This has the purpose to trap a;; the dust and fumes that a manicure session might cause. For example the fumes created by nail polish aren’t the healthiest for the lungs and so the vent prevents them from ending up in the lungs of the manicurist and the client.
Another special feature is the table lamp that is meant to provide the manicurist with all the light that she needs. This is essential for her work, because if there isn’t enough light, she might hurt the client or herself.
The last thing that is important for a manicure table is the UV lamp that has been created to help with the application of gel nails. You might know that it is needed to treat the gel and to make it harden.
The last thing that you should think about is the look of the table. There are thousands of designs to choose from and there are also many materials that are used to create them.
