I think that the piece of furniture that is the hardest to notice in a manicure salon is the manicure table. Have you ever taken a good look at it? I do not think so because the customers or the clients aren’t really interested in it. The truth is that this isn’t surprising at all since they have almost no relation with it. The manicurist on the other hand has a lot more to do with it and we might say that it is an essential part of their job.
There are some very important features of the manicure table that you should take into consideration in case you wish to buy one for yourself or for your business. The first such thing might be the size of it. It has to be high enough for the manicurist to be able to stand right but it shouldn’t be too high because this might stop her from doing her job properly. The size also refers to the leg room that the table has. Imagine sitting in an uncomfortable way for eight hours. The inadequate size of the table might lead to severe back pain and also to swollen legs.

These were the most important things that you should consider regarding manicure tables, but there are some others as well. I think that it is important for manicurists to have place where they can store that items that they might need. There are some that they don’t use on an everyday basis and so these are best to be kept in a drawer or a locker. Most manicure tables have both drawers and lockers and these help the manicurist keep order on her table. The lockers might also be used to store personal items, like cups or mugs that they use in their coffee break.
Most manicure tables come with racks that are used to store a number of nail polishes. The number of polishes that can be stored usually is of 24 or 48. I think that having 48 different shades of polish on the table looks quite good and it is appealing for the customers.

Another very important feature might be the lamp that most of the times is place on the table to provide the manicurist with the light she needs to make precise cuts and designs. This is an optional feature and the vent is also optional, but it is very useful because it traps the dust and fumes that get into the air during a manicure session.
You should know that the optional features add to the price of manicure tables but they are very good to be taken into consideration because they provide a better work environment for the manicurist and this motivates her to do a good job. Still, I you are a beginner, I suggest you start with a less expensive table and later, when you think you have gained more experience it is worth to move up to a better equipped manicure table.
