Mini Lipstick Sets

The history of lipstick goes back more than you might know. It is said that in some cultures they were using lipstick already around 5000 BC. Others say that the Egyptian were the first to use it. There are some wall paintings that show some people who have their lips painted red while others don’t have any special color and so the scientists thought that this might be because those who have red lips wore some kind of lipstick (at least an ancestor of it).

In these ancient times lipstick had vegetable origins but there were some that were made of bugs. Later they invented the lipstick that we know today made of different vegetable oils or beeswax, most of them containing vitamins and SPF to protect the lips from the sunrays that could do some harm (especially during hot summer).

In our days there are many cosmetics producers creating new lines each year or each season so it is quite hard to keep track of all the new products that appear on the market. This is made even harder by the fact that while it is quite easy to follow the product lines of big brands, there are some brands that you never heard of (especially those imported from foreign countries) that produce cheaper lipsticks.

Most people think that it might be rude to give lipstick to a woman as a present because she might take it as an allusion that she isn’t beautiful enough and that she should use more makeup, but I think that there are some lipsticks that are more special and can be great gifts. A short time ago I saw some mini lipstick sets that I really liked and I think that any girl would be happy to get them. Still I think that girls should buy these things for each other, because they know better each other’s tastes.

These mini lipstick sets aren’t something new, they have been around for a while and I think they are very useful because in one set there are several lipsticks (naturally smaller than the usual ones) so it is easier to use them, to store them and to combine them. There are some well known brands that produce mini lipstick sets in a limited number but if you can’t get them, don’t worry, probably after a period it will be produced as well.

These companies include Smashbox that is said to have a mini lipstick set that contains richly pigmented and long-lasting mini lipsticks that moisturize the lips. The set includes the 6 most popular shades: Candid, Vibe, Pose, Nude, A-List and Raspberry Kreme. Another company that produces mini lipstick sets is Burjois. This set has three colors: Rouge Adore, Berry Biscus and Gilded Rose.

The last brand that I tell you about is Mahya Mineral Makeup. It also has a mini lipstick set that contains five shades: Ruby (shade of red), Deep Rose Pink (shade of mauve), Pearl Cherry (shade of medium dark cranberry), Peach Frost (shade of peach) and Spiced Coral (shade of golden bronze).
