Older Lips
When we are young, our lips look fresh and full. We are proud of our sensual mouth, so that we try to make them look as pretty as we can. When we are 20 or 30 years old, we use all kind of tricks to attract others with our body language, including lips.
We take care of them, using lip balms and hydrating lip sticks. But it comes a time when this changes. As we get old, our skin looses its elasticity, and has a different aspect. It doesn’t look fresh and toned anymore.

Same thing happens with our lips. Older lips look cracked and lose their natural cherry color. Skin becomes dry and the aspect of our smile changes. It doesn’t lose its warmth, though.
That’s why, as we get older, we should try care take more care of our skin. Rich moisturizing body lotions prevent dehydration and help skin to maintain its elasticity longer. Same with the lips. Every day we must use at least a lip balm, in order to create a protective layer on the skin, so they don’t dry so bad.
If we want to keep our beauty longer, the face is the first to consider. A face cream applied before going out protects skin and helps it to resist on wind, high or low temperatures or air pollution. Another agent that harms face and lips skin is smoking. Women who smoke have a different aspect of the skin than a woman that doesn’t smoke.
Older lips must be treated with natural products, like honey and olive oil. Hydrating masks with honey and olive oil create a protective barrier that helps lips look softer every day.
We must not forget that, even dry and cracked, old lips can say many stories about life, stories that we must pay attention to. Even cracked, old lips can sing gently a child to sleep or read fairytales.

Studies show that man get more trouble with the lips dryness than women, because women used all their life lip products like part of their daily make-up. And so, lip stick turns to be a real friend when it comes to skin hydration.
We know that women with large lips are tented to use matte lip sticks, that after some hours, they go dry on lips, and so the moisturizing effect disappears. As they get older, women should know that the form and aspect of their lips changes. Lips don’t look full anymore, so they should use the same products as women with small lips: nude or light shades, Avoid dark shades or matte ones and to always use a lip liner to give their mouth the right form.
No matter the time of our lives, remember that each age has its beauty and we can never compare a young lady with an old lady, two full lips with two older lips.
