Painted Fingernails

The beauty that arouses about the fingers of the women goes back in the ancient history, especially in ancient China. Back then clothes were covering the entire body of women, and what remained uncovered were the hands and the face. That is a suffice reason to focus ever since then on how to design them to create new looks etc. In history they are described as being delicate and soft.

Especially, nowadays, coloring your nails, is about fashion, as you do not just color them you paint them with different designs, you put sculpture nails, apply jewelry on them, false nails, make a true art out of your nails.

As for the painted fingernails in the past, they all used to be painted in red, as shown below. These colors were not a polish as you can find nowadays, they were colors issued from the balsam flowers that were cut into pieces and a little alum was added.  The fingernails had to be cleaned and then you could easily apply the balsam to them. After this you had to wrap the fingernail with a piece of cloth or silk and keep them like this for one night, or more. In order to get a stronger tone of the color, you had to repeat this action at least three to five times. After obtaining the colored desired, it stayed on the fingernails until they grew out.

Nowadays, there is not such a big work to have your nails painted, but there is a big deal to prepare them for painting. The nail polish has made it easy for the women these days, but also, it is a more harmful substance, than the petal of the flowers were. The nail polish is made of chemical substances that oblige you to treat your nails from time to time, so that they do not get yellowish color.

In order to achieve the best results you have to have your old polished removed, and then soak your nails in a bowl of warm water for around ten minutes. After taking them out of there you have to pile them and to push the cuticles back. Then a massage with lotion should be made, so that the nails are ready to be polished. You first apply the base coat that protects your nail, and then you apply the color you want until you get the desired nuance. In order to have your painted fingernails fresh every day, you should apply a top coat of fingernail polish every day.

If you find it too difficult and time wasting, you should better go to a cosmetic salon and get your nails done. This way, using professional nail polish it lasts longer and you do not encounter difficulties in having your fingernails painted.11
