Due to nowadays technologies medical and beauty domain has increased its method, its procedures. And because most of women concerns are the lips they recur frequently to different methods of improving their look, of boosting their lip size and aspect. So far nothing out of the ordinary. Bu the main aspect is that one should know all the risks and most, all about the postoperative lip care.
No matter if it is a lip reduction, lip augmentation, lip implants in every case a patient faces the postoperative lip care. And depending on each and every case this is a simpler or a complex procedure. Besides this there are some general restrictions and pieces of advice one should take into consideration for its health and future health state of mood.
First of all, the postoperative lip care involves patience. I say this because most of those who recur to a plastic surgery for its lips see the things too simple: just an operation and the lips will look as wanted. Yes they will have another aspects, an improved one but not from the first day after the intervention. Usually the lips will show their new aspect after a couple of days. But it depends on each one state of health. It can be one day but as well it can be one week. For example, if you see some blisters or pellicles do not tear it off, as you take a turn for the worse: it will take longer for your skin to regenerate and to heal.

Apart from this, it is needed an antibiotic treatment. After a plastic surgery the lips are bound to inflammation or worse, to an infection. Antibiotics will prevent any of these and will help your lips recovery. But only those prescribed by a doctor, as antibiotics taken hearsay will lead to no effect or side effects.
Also, it is extremely important to make regular visits to a doctor in case you notice something apart from commonly met situations. For example fever, dizziness or swollen lips that did not respond to the initially treatment.
Hygiene has also a word to say. Keep the area clean and disinfected with iodine and stay away from hot drinks and food, spicy food, seeds or kissing. A healthy life style contributes also to the rhythm of your recovery period. So, add more fruits and vitamins in your daily menu.
To put it in a nutshell, postoperative lip care means attention and patience. It is for your own good to fallow the strict treatment. Do not rely one others advice, on others experience in this, as each and every person has its own reactions. In other words, what was benefic for one may have no results for you.
