Sea Glass Earrings

Talking about materials from which jewelries are made, we can safely say that the most common ones are made of silver. Why? Silver is not that expensive, it's precious and it lasts longer. Gold is also a very appreciate material and a little bit more expensive than silver. Women love pricey jewelries especially those precious like diamonds or gemstones. A pair of gemstone earrings or diamond earrings are more than enough to express beauty style elegance and social status, because few can afford to buy them. There are many other materials from which jewelries are made. There are jewelries made of crystals, precious crystals, made of sea glass, metal , titanium etc.

Sea glass is the glass found along beaches and oceans, lakes, made by the water and sand. These small glasses are also called mermaid tears, lucky tears etc. Sea glass is a valuable item , made without the interference of man. Sea glass comes in many colors and those who know about this type of jewelry item, collect it . Sea glass can always be seen along the shore , and can be transformed into a nice home decoration item or into jewelry.

Usually the color of sea glass is determined by it's source. What is interesting about sea glass is the fact that this glass comes from bottles, glasses, art, plates, jars thrown away in the sea and then transformed by the see in many other colors and shapes. The most common colors of sea glass are : green, brown, and clear. Usually these colors are common because they come from beer bottles, glasses and the white  glass is mostly from normal glass.

Besides these there are also more uncommon colors, that are rarely found such as : jade, amber, golden amber, lime green, soft blue. They are found once at 25 to 2100 pieces, so, they are quite a rarity . All these colors come from different bottles. For example jade and amber can be the result of whiskey bottles, bleach bottles or medicine bottles. The soft blue can be from medicine bottles soda bottles , ink or even fruit jars from the60's. These glasses are brought on the shore and have these colors after many and many years of wondering in the waves.

Other more rare than rare are the color pink gray black , yellow , red and turquoise.  Sea glass Earrings are common, and very cheap, because they are not valuable. They are funny and funky looking, and they can be found at small shops, where they make handmade jewelry. A piece of jewelry doesn't necessarily have to be very precious to be beautiful. Sea glass earrings are great for casual wear , and they are quite youthful and colorful.
