Things to know about bouffant celebrity hairstyles
I think you might have heard about the bouffant celebrity hairstyles because they were extremely popular during the 1960’s but after then women started opting for easier and simpler hairstyle and then the bouffant simply went out of fashion.
I think you might know that in our days it is very fashionable to have a vintage or retro look and so it is no wonder that the bouffant is gaining more and more popularity again. In this article I am going to tell you how to create a traditional bouffant hairstyle but naturally there are a lot of things that you could change about it to be suitable for your face and hair.
To get the hairstyle done you should section the hair from ear to ear. Once you are done you should divide the front section into two smaller sections and tie the back section into a high ponytail. Then you should start back combing the ponytail. I suggest you do this section by section.
When you are done with the entire ponytail you should use a bristle brush to smooth the top layer of the ponytail, but the top layer only. When you are done smoothing you should gather the smoothed ponytail into one hand and secure the ends in a section clip. Then you should flip the ponytail forward and grip it is a horseshoe shape at about 2.5 cm from the band.
Once you are done with this you should flip the hair back and fold it around to create a round shape. Now you should grip the hair in the center back. First you should work at the right side, then the left side and in the end at the top area. Then you should secure the sides with bobby pins. To get the right look you should neat the ends with a tail comb. Now you are done with the back section and you should backcomb one of the side sections, but leave a strand loose in the front. Apply some hairspray on the section and smooth it.
Then pull it upwards at a 45 degree angle and sweep it around the bun. Secure the section with two hairgrips at the center back. You should tuck the ends under the bun and pin them into place. You should repeat the process with the other front section too and don’t forget to leave a strand out in the front. Once you are done with both sides all there is left for you to do is to insert the hair accessories and it might also be a good idea to curl the front loose strands for a nice finish.
At this moment you might think that it is very easy to create this bouffant celebrity hairstyle, but I must tell you that it needs a lot of practice to achieve the perfect look and to hold all the strands in place.

I think that bouffant hair styles are suitable for a very special occasion such as attending a wedding or a special reception or banquet. You cannot wear such a fancy hairstyle to work or school and it is also not suitable for any event taking place during the day. And another thing: it is very difficult to have such a hairstyle done all by yourself. You will most likely need someone to assist you because at most time your will working at the back of your hear and won’t be able to see what you are doing and unless you are experienced, you will ruin you pretty hair style.
