Things to know about lipstick for men

I am sure you know all about lipstick since it is a very common product, but there are some aspects that people don’t really think about. For example there is lipstick for men. Most people say that lipstick is for women only and so there isn’t anything to say about lipstick for men.

It is true that since lipstick has appeared it has been widely used by women and scientists say that women started to paint their lips in the first place so that it would resemble more with the vulva because they both flush red and they get swollen if they are aroused.

From this point of view lipstick really isn’t for men, but in our days everybody is free to do whatever he or she wants and then I see no reason why men shouldn’t be wearing lipstick. I know that people still have some bad thoughts related to this topic because I agree that it is quite uncommon to see men with lipstick, but there are some men that like the look of it or the feel of it and if they feel comfortable, then I think they should wear it.

Still my personal opinion is that men should stick to lip balm or something of the sort that doesn’t have any color, but I don’t judge those either who choose lipstick. Most people associate wearing lipstick with being gay. It is true that there are some homosexual communities that like to wear lipstick, but other than that, there is no real connection between the two concepts. I think the problems it that people judge what is out of the ordinary and so the society doesn’t accept lipstick for men either.

There are some companies that recognized the need of men for lipstick and they launched an entire line with makeup for men, so in case you are looking for lipstick for men you will know where to look.

Since both kinds of lipstick have the same job to do, I don’t think there are some major differences between the ingredients of the products. They both should offer color, so they have to pigmented, and it is good it they are moisturizing, containing vitamins and maybe also a SPF to protect the lips from the harmful rays of the sun.

I can understand the need of men for their own lipstick, because it might be a bit awkward to use a product designed for women, so even if it has the same ingredients, it might sound better to be using a product for men.

I know that there are still some debates on this topic and that people have some contradictory opinions, but I think that everybody has the right to do as he wishes but on the other hand everybody has the right to form an opinion. Still people should remember not to judge each other because everybody has some things that we could judge and it is a quite unpleasant feeling. If you have something to add, please leave a comment.
