Things to know about older woman red lipstick
There are a lot of women who are still afraid to use red lipstick because they still have the mentality of the past century. In that period only the actresses and models wore red lipstick and they weren’t considered to be respectable, so average women who had a good reputation never wore red lipstick.
In our days things are very different and red lipstick is the symbol of power and a healthy self-esteem. I think this is only natural because it takes courage to be able to bear the looks of the people around us. There are some things that you might have heard regarding older woman red lipstick and they might prove out to be urban legends, but they might also be true.

You might know that since last December the professionals in fashion ‘warned’ us that red is coming back in force and since then we might have seen that they were right. Still it might be very hard to wear red lipstick especially in case of average women who don’t have an army of stylist telling them what is right for them and what isn’t. This is why there are some things that we should keep in mind when thinking about red lipstick.
You might know that when choosing a lipstick color age is a very important factor. According to professional stylists because of the strong hue of the color, red lipstick might make the face look harder, the skin older and the lips thinner, this is why women over 30 might want to opt for colors that are less vampish and they offer a softer look. This is why older woman should reconsider using red lipstick.
When using red lipstick the lips should look as a stain of red satin, but sometimes women only manage to get a powdery clotted red dot. It is not good either if the lipstick is too glossy. Women in their 30s and those who have passed that age might want to try more delicate shades and they should also focus on moisturizing.

In case of older women it is a good thing to opt for a light color, but you shouldn’t forget that every person is unique and if something doesn’t work for the majority, it doesn’t mean that it won’t work for you either, this is why it is best to try the most things possible.
Who would have ever thought that there is an age for cosmetics and makeup, but the truth is that there is. Red lipstick, for example isn’t right for teens because it makes them too old, and in the same time it isn’t right for older women either because it makes them look more aged than they areally are.
I hope that you will take into consideration the things I have written about the next time you will be looking for a new color. In case you have any observations or you have anything to add regarding the topic, feel free to leave a comment.
