Things to know about spa manicure

You might know that there are a lot of businesses that offer manicure services and I think I can say that there are two major kinds of businesses from this point of view. There are the nail salons that offer regular nail services and there are also some spas that besides the regular nail services also offer spa manicures.

There are a lot of people who have heard about spa manicures but they don’t really know what the difference between any other manicure and the spa manicure is. In this article I am going to present briefly the differences between the two kinds of manicures and I am going to tell you about the procedure of getting a spa manicure.

The main difference between them is that the spa manicure most of the times has some steps that the regular manicure doesn’t have, like the aromatic salt rub, paraffin dip or the hydrating mask. This is why the spa manicure may last longer and it also might feel a lot more pampering and more luxurious.

The procedure itself starts with cleansing the hands. This starts with washing your hands with an ultra mild and revitalizing cleanser and soak. After this the manicurist will shape and smooth the nails. You can tell her what length you wish to have and also what shape you would like.

There are several options to choose from including round, oval, square, pointy and even squoval. Once the manicurist is done taking care of the nails she will move on to treating the cuticles. Probably she will use a cuticle cream and then she will push the cuticles with the help of a cuticle pusher or an orange stick. In case you have some stubborn cuticles, she will remove them with the help of a cuticle nipper.

The next step is the exfoliation. She will do the exfoliation by massaging exfoliation crystals into the hands and the arms. Once she is done doing this she will wrap your hands into warm towels because this will allow the crystals to penetrate.  After a while the manicurist removes the towels and then she wipes the hands with warm and moist towels. Once she is done she will continue with moisturizing the hands.

This procedure is quite simple. She will massage a finishing lotion into the hands and the arms. With this the majority of the treatment is over and as a finishing touch she will do a complete manicure on your hands. This means that she will polish the nails with the color of your choice, or you could ask for a specific manicure like French manicure or American manicure.

I think now you might know all about spa manicure

and you should also know that the procedure might differ from spa to spa because every manicurist has his or her own style and this depends largely on the style used. The products used might also be different but the result is about the same in every case.
