Those tools that have been treated in this machine are sure to be clean. The tools that have been cleaned in an anti-bacterial solution are probably clean. In case the solution is cloudy the you can know that it is time to change it.

You should not be feeling shy or embarrassed to ask the staff whether the tools have been well sterilized or if they have been soaked in an anti-septic. In case your manicurist happens to drop a tool on the floor you should ask her to sterilize it before she uses it again.

You should also keep an eye out for individually packaged tools and they should be opened right in front of you. Another possibility that you could try is to bring your own tools with you every time. There are some salons that will store the tools for you. In our says there are also some businesses that ask you to buy a manicure set and the manicurist will use that set each time you visit the salon.

You might see that there are a lot of things that you should keep in mind and another thing that is useful to know is whether the business has all the certificates and authorizations needed from the authorities to function. If not then most probably there s something wrong with the salon and you should get out of there as soon as you can. There are some salons that expose these certificates, but if you can’t see them you should ask about them the staff working there.
