Video Reports Of Manicure Pedicure Health Risks
My personal opinion is that there isn’t a woman or a girl on this planet that wouldn’t like to have a manicure or pedicure session performed by a professional. Women often go to salons or spas to get their nail done, and while most of them are aware of the risks such a session carries (fungi, bacteria, viruses) most of them think that something similar could never happen to them.
The statistics show that it has happened already too many times so it is time to put an end to it. You might have observed that in the past period there have been a lot of video reports of manicure, pedicure health risks shown. The media is trying to increase the awareness regarding the risks manicures and pedicures carry.

If you choose to visit a nail salon it is a good idea to look around and see whether there are any dirty instruments. These are a sure sign that the salon isn’t sanitized well enough so the best thing you can do in this situation is to leave as fast as possible. It is good to check whether the salon is licensed or not. You shouldn’t be ashamed to ask questions to the staff regarding how their instruments are cleaned and what chemicals they use.
Even if you decide that it seems to be safe to get a manicure or pedicure you shouldn’t trust the technician too much. I know that these sessions are all about relaxing, but how could one relax if she knows that her health is at stake. You should observe everything the technician does and tell her if there is something that you don’t like.
When getting a manicure or pedicure be sure that the technician is using clean instruments. Some doctors say that the best solution is to bring your own instruments. There are some salons that will store the instruments for you. Many women cut the cuticles because they say that this way the nails will look better, but few people know that this is one of the easiest ways to get an infection. If your manicurist wants to cut your cuticles you should tell her that you wish her to push them instead. It is a lot safer and the result is almost the same. Besides infections you can even contact HIV if the manicurist uses an instrument which got in contact with the blood of an HIV positive person (for example if she scratched the client by accident).

Another thing to be attentive at is that in the case of a pedicure don’t let the technician use a credo blade (it resembles a cheese grater) because they are very hard to sanitize and most of them are carrying fungus and viruses. Technicians should always wash their hands before they start working on your feet or hands and they should use a clean towel that hasn’t been used before. These are just some basic ides, if you want more information on the topic try searching for video reports of manicure, pedicure health risks.
