What do you think about French manicure for a man?

We all know that we are living in a world that is constantly changing. Think about the fact that a few decades ago decent women we not permitted to wear nail polish because people thought that they are one of those women who have bad reputation. Only the actresses and the models who wished to become actresses wore nail polish to make themselves noticed and these professions were considered not to be decent. Since then things flipped 180 degrees and there are a very few women left who don’t polish their nails and it has already become a social convention for women to have nice nails.

In the case of men, on the other hand it is totally accepted to have unkept nails, although this isn’t advisable. You might say that people are getting superficial, but we all know that the physical aspect does matter and I don’t think you would like to shake hands with a person who has dirty hands or nails. It has become important for men to have nice hands as well, but I don’t think that things should be taken to extremes.

It is okay to give a nice shape to the nails, push the cuticles and to buff the nails so that they will have a natural shine, but nail polish is a bit out of line for me. Maybe a bit of clear polish is okay at special occasions, but even that might be weird on an everyday basis. You might say that I am too conventional but I don’t think that men are supposed to have polished nails.

Naturally this is only my opinion and I am not saying that it is wrong. In case a man likes to have French manicure, then he should go for it and he shouldn’t let anybody stop him. People might say nasty things about him behind his back or judge him, but I don’t think that it is important what the others say.
There are many nail salons that offer manicure services for men and I don’t see why they shouldn’t offer French manicure for a man. I suppose that the procedure is the same and the results will be very neat. Still men shouldn’t be surprised if they are trying to get to know a girl and she has an unforeseen reaction because of his nails. People are not used to see French manicure for a man and so she might run off.

This shouldn’t discourage you because I am sure that there are many girls who like men that take care of themselves. Still I think that having polished nails is just not manly and so women won’t feel in safety with you.
