What you should know about getting manicures

We know that in our days nothing is impossible anymore and so nothing could be easier than getting manicures. There are two main ways to do this: getting somebody to do it for you or the DIY (do it yourself) method. Both of them have some upsides and downsides and in this article I am going to let you know about the most important things that you should know about this topic and the two ways that I have already mentioned.

Going to a salon is very easy and most women choose a salon based on what their friends say or they visit a salon where they have an acquaintance working. They think that this way it is safer and the results will be better. Some problems might occur even though the manicurist is doing her best to avoid problems. The most dangerous problems represent the infections. You might think that this couldn’t happen to you, but believe me that the other people though so as well. In case you get hurt, injured or cut in any way, if the tools used aren’t sanitized well enough, you can be almost certain that you will get infected.

Then there are the bacteria and the fungus as well. You might take these things into consideration when going to a salon. On the other hand at the salon you get professional service and the results will look very nice. There are some things that you can’t do on your own, like nail art or the set and removal of artificial nails, so in these situations it is recommended to go to a professional.

Another way of getting manicures is to do it on your own. The downside of this method is that the results might not look as good like the ones you could get at a salon, but there are no other disadvantages. The upside is that you can’t get infected unless you borrow your manicure tools (which you shouldn’t) and you don’t have to get an appointment. In case you wake up at three in the morning and you feel like you would like to get a new manicure, there is nobody to stop you from doing it.

Another minor downside is that you will have to buy all the things that you need for your manicure sessions including tools, supplies and other things. Most women don’t think it is a downside because they like shopping and let’s face it: it is fun to browse among all those nice nail polishes.

At this point it is up to you to find a way of getting manicures and there is no rule that says that you are not allowed to use both methods. You could get a manicure at a nail salon from time to time, and in the rest of the cases you could do your own manicure. This is a very good way to keep the nails in shape between visits to the manicurist. What do you think about this?
