World's Longest Fingernails

Until now,i did not know is having the longest fingernails in the world,and sincerely it was not a thing that could interest me,but now I have a story to tell.

So,I found out about that woman called Lee Richmond,she is sixty four years old,who has not cut her finger nails since 1979,she has grown and manicured them to reach a total length of 7m51.3cm.She has a philosophy that says:you are what you eat,and the things that she is eating have a big impact of her nails growth.she eats a high protein diet,which is what hair and nails are made of.She used to soak them in hot olive oil,but for the moment she cannot because they do not fir in the fry pan.So,since September,when the record was set,she decided to cut them short,because she has to take care of her husband,who is suffering of Alzheimer,but after she thought that she can do than even with those nails,and decided to keep them.In 2006,she suffered a car accident and she broke her  finger nails.

She said that it is very difficult for her to go shopping,open the door,and she also is doing a good job cooking, vacuum, clean,and taking care of her husband. She thinks that every little thing is a challenge and she decided to make things in her own way.For now,everybody is used to her,only the children are a bit scared when they saw her on the streets.



There is also a retired Indian photographer from Mumbai,who has grown his finger nails for 50 years,and now he has put them for auction.His thumbnail measures 4.8feet.They have a tortoiseshell color and is coiled up in spirals.He has held this record for 20 years,but is not that easy because his fingers are permanently disfigured because of the weight of his nails.

Also li Jiang Ping of ShiShi,from China is a contender for this record.He heard about the Indian photographer and decided to beat him by setting another record,and so he has not cut his finger nails for fifteen years,and now the nails of his left hand are over one meter.

Barbara Wing from Salt Lake City,did not reach the record but her nails are beautiful,but in a strange way,she also did not cut her nails for fifteen years,when she applied a beautiful nail art on them.She has 10 Jazzmen on her 7 inch nails.

I am really stunned, because long nails are very painful.I know that because even my finger nails when they grow very much are hurting me so,and I must cut them.

Beside the fact that are hurting,I am very curious of how they can get to the bathroom,or how are they washing themselves, eating, dressing,etc.

As we do  not say that you can not type on your keyboard with nails that long.You also can not wash the dishes,and you are a dead person because you will have to throw away the dishes no?

Here is also Loretta Adams,from Texas who tried for 25 years to let them grow to break  the record and when  they reached 150 inches,she decided to give up and cut them in 1997,because they were causin her pain.

I personally think that god has made things for every person ,and to the  people with long finger nails he gave a lot of patience.

So,people with long and very long fingernails, take care of you nails,and be careful not to fall…..to break them.
